Health Education

Preventive and pro-motive eye care is of optimum importance in a country like Nepal with lower per capita income, where the majority of the blind reside in remote and rural areas with less accessibility to eye care services. The 494 member staff at BEH and all its Satellite Clinics include 11  Ophthalmologists, 1 ENT Surgeon, 2 Anesthesiologist, 1 Pathologist, 1 Microbiologist, 5 MD Residents, 17 Optometrists, 3 Staff Nurses, 7 Pharmacy Assistants, 2 Health Assistant, 44 Ophthalmic Assistants (OA), 1 Research Officer, 12 administrative staff and other.
